Who am I you ask? Well, let me tell you. I was a pup not more than 4 months old and found myself in jail (Animal Rescue). I had no idea why I was there suddenly, The humans I was sent to watch decided to go for a ride, took me with them, bark! I was in jail.
That's fine though, It gave me a chance to meet some of the other dogs there, though most seemed a little rough at first, they are a good bunch who done nothing wrong, but somehow wound up there.
There I was, then there they were. Two humans came walking up to the human guard that was transporting me to the grass area of the facility. I saw them and immediately knew they could get me out of here. Turns out, fate played a role. We were all being led to the same area. When I crashed through the gate to beg for help, I couldn't do it. I just looked at them and then the male human leaned down and said "Hey little buddy."
I lost it! I hugged him like I had never hugged before - mainly because I hadn't. The best hug I could give, and now I give him hugs every day - despite his lack of brains. The female one is so nice, I enjoy her touch, she also gives me special treats and every time she goes out she brings me back a toy. I think I'll be happy here.
Now, a note from the human:
Fenway is a beautiful pup, he is about a year old now. He loves people, loves children, and loves most other dogs...I do think he and the squirrels outside are in the middle of a serious showdown, but other than that he is all around a great little buddy.
I don't know why the previous owners gave him up as a pup, but now that he is here, we are glad they did. He is a rescue and he is the most lovable creature I have ever seen. Yes, the hugs are real, he will put both front paws on my shoulders and lean his head into me. He does his hugs from his chair, formerly known as my wife's chair.
We encourage anyone who can and are willing to adopt a rescue, most of them just want a little love and someone to snuggle next to in the thunderstorms.
